Back in the Saddle... |

Well, sort of. It's been a spell since I've posted on this site. A regular reader would know that this section is used to rant about things going on in the world. Sometimes, the topics are about far-flung regions of the globe. At other times, my subjects are very close to home. Here lately, I have been flung to other parts of the world and not spent as much time close to home. |

In the last forty days I have been to the Ozark Mountains of Missouri (pronounced, Misery, locally), Arizona, and Mexico. Stuff French (Freedom) classes and golf leagues into this time period and it's been real hard to get around a keyboard for anything other than checking e-mail and lottery numbers. |

My foreign language class is about to end and I don't plan on traveling real soon. This means I will have more time for one of my greatest loves. Writing. I am in the middle of a novel. There are countless short stories that have gone cold and are ready for revising and then submission. The writer's group that I belong to is preparing an anthology, which will include some of my work. And of course, there is this website. |

My original intent was to start off with something every week and then expand to semi-weekly installments. I will get something out each week from now to the end of the summer. Beyond that, I hope to get more installments out but my commitment to our anthology may limit me to once a week until its completion in November. |

Sometime this summer my wife and I are going to Florida. It's possible we will be taking the golf clubs. We will definitely be taking the laptop. At least one of our grandchildren will be along. For me, this is a dream trip. I'll be traveling, golfing, writing, and spending time with my wife and grandchildren. These are the greatest loves of my life. At certain times of the year the order will flip somewhat. Only my wife could tell you what order they are numbered, and when they change. |
