Woodchucks and Truth |
|

Most people are familiar with the riddle of the Woodchuck. How much wood could a Woodchuck chuck? Is this innocuous woodland creature being wrapped in mystery or simply being handed a bad rap? Is he alone in the way society perceives him? I think if we were to ask him, a Woodchuck would probably tell us how much wood he is capable of chucking. Of course, if you asked a different Woodchuck, you might get a different answer. Asking several of them would most likely yield an average they could all agree to. I believe this because they come across as honest creatures. Truth is probably important to them. |

Unlike so many humans, they can see every aspect of Truth. Living outdoors, they see Truth for what it is. If they have spent much time listening to humans they would know Truth could be stretched all out of proportion. Even though we revel in its nakedness at times; bald Truth will make some people turn away. It's possible they have seen us bury it; hoping it would never see the light of day again. We often demand it to be whole while willing to accept a small piece. We know it to be universal while searching for years on end without ever finding it. We accept it on one hand while rejecting it with the other. Some people are completely blind to it while others swear it's all they can see. |

Truth has seen it's fair share of abuse. Our friends the Woodchucks see it as plain and simple. Why can't we? |
